The big cleanup

After securing a lease on new premises we had a huge task of cleaning up the going to a good home charity warehouse to behealthy and safe for our volunteers to Store our donations in.
After many years of several industrial uses the going to a good home charity Storage premise needed quite a lot of mucking out and our volunteers pitched in like troopers.
The rubbish removal ate into our budget quite tragically so we are appealing for financial as well as furniture donations in 2015.

We are pleased to announce going to a good home have helped many people to set up a home and a life in 2014 which is a credit to the hard graft of our trustees and few volunteers.
A huge thank you to the local businesses that have supported us in this very tricky setting up period they were the difference between life and death and have held our hand all the way.
A driving force or more like a whirlwind has been our trustee Nicola Johnson. In addition to the great arm-twisting for the above support she is pictured here managing the cleanup operation with the volunteers.

The warehouse is now spic and span with quite a few donations in there we have also started taking donations of toys and children’s clothing.

Years of industrial use left us with rotten pallets and old pieces of van and engines made the task a very large one.
